The Edificio Kavanagh is a residential skyscraper located in the Retiro neighborhood of Buenos Aires. It stands out as a prime example of art deco architecture and was designed by architects Gregorio Sánchez, Ernesto Lagos, and Luis María de la Torre. At its inauguration in 1936, it was the tallest building in Latin America and the tallest reinforced concrete structure in the world. The building was declared a Historic Civil Engineering Landmark by the American Society of Civil Engineers in 1994 and a National Historic Monument of Argentina.
